Every read the operator runs feeds [The Read]. Individual reads that stay separate are diagnostics — useful, but not the discipline. The discipline is the aggregation: reads from the stage inform cast decisions, cast reads inform performance reads, performance reads inform profit reads, and every layer feeds back into the next read of the operation.
The operator who does not read is not running the business.
