# The Operators Loop

### Definition

The six-beat operating sequence every operator runs. Produces one of two outcomes: the Compounding Loop, which builds the operation, or the Contraction Loop, which shrinks it. Every operator is running one version at all times. Fundamental home: Perspective, primary teaching anchor, cross-cutting across all five fundamentals.

### Explanation

The framing that every operator is always running one version or the other -- never neither -- is what gives this concept its urgency. There's no neutral, paused state where an operator isn't running some loop. The choice isn't whether to run a loop; it's whether the six beats are running forward, compounding the operation upward, or in reverse, contracting it downward one notch at a time.

Because the same six beats appear in both directions, the diagnostic value is high: an operator who suspects they're stuck can check each beat individually -- the read, the convergence, the decision, the gate, the action, the result -- against the compounding version and the contracting version to find exactly where their own loop has flipped direction. That precision is more useful than a general sense that things aren't going well, because it points directly at the specific beat that needs to change.
