# Signal Harmony

### Definition

The operator's continuous discipline of reading multiple signals simultaneously -- Guest Experience, cast, unit economics, Guest, the standard -- and listening for whether they're in relationship with each other or have gone dissonant. Not single-signal monitoring, not dashboard-watching. The diagnostic act of catching when one signal moves out of harmony with the others: covers up but tip share down, satisfaction high but turnover spiking, standard hitting Friday and breaking Tuesday.

### Explanation

Dissonance is the early warning, and it only shows up if you're reading the chord instead of one note at a time. An operator watching covers alone sees a good week. An operator reading [Signal Harmony] sees the same good week and notices tip share sliding underneath it -- a signal that something in the Guest Experience is degrading even while volume looks healthy.

Single-signal operators get surprised by numbers that "came out of nowhere." They didn't come out of nowhere. They were building in a signal nobody was cross-referencing against the others. [Signal Harmony] isn't about tracking more metrics -- plenty of operators drown in dashboards and still miss the dissonance. It's about listening for the relationship between the signals you already have, which is a different skill than collecting them.
