# No Knowledge

### Definition

Bucket one in The No-Read. A cast member who is not performing to standard because they do not know the standard, the technique, the sequence, or the situation. Not a willingness problem, not a bandwidth problem -- a gap between what the cast member has been taught and what the standard requires. The operator move is training: direct, documented, verified. The operator owns the fix; the cast member's job is to receive it and apply it. If the gap closes, the cast member moves out of bucket one. If it does not close after a real training effort, the diagnostic re-runs -- either the standard was wrong, the training was wrong, or the bucket call was wrong, likely No Commitment.

### Explanation

This bucket puts the burden of the fix squarely on the operator's shoulders, which is the detail most likely to get skipped in practice. It's tempting to treat a cast member's underperformance as their problem to solve -- figure it out, ask questions, get better. But if the honest diagnosis is [No Knowledge], the gap exists because training didn't close it, which makes the fix the operator's responsibility to deliver, not the cast member's to independently discover.

The re-run clause is what keeps this bucket from becoming a permanent, comfortable explanation for ongoing underperformance. If direct, documented, verified training genuinely happened and the gap still hasn't closed, the operator doesn't get to keep calling it [No Knowledge] indefinitely -- the diagnostic has to re-run and consider that the training itself was flawed, the standard was unclear, or the original classification was simply wrong and the real issue is [No Commitment] all along.
