# Never Treat A Guest Better Than An Employee

### Definition

Canon Entry under [H³]: no actor's hospitality comes at the cost of another's. [H³] runs to every actor -- the cast is owed the same floor of hospitality the Guest is owed, and an operator who lavishes care on Guests while treating cast as expendable is running a floor that only covers one actor. Pairs with [Guest As Input, Not Reference], [Connection Floor], [Everything Feeds The Read], [The Accountability Demand], [Five Fundamentals], [Single Decision-Maker].

### Explanation

This is the direct correction to an industry reflex -- "the Guest is always right," Guest satisfaction above all else, even at cast expense. [H³] rejects the premise. If [Guest As Input, Not Reference] says the Guest's ask is loud but not the reference, this term says the same thing from the cast side: the cast's dignity is not a variable that flexes downward to buy Guest comfort.

The operating test is direct. When a Guest demand would require treating a cast member worse than the Guest is being treated -- public humiliation, unreasonable demands, abuse tolerated to keep a check open -- the answer is no, every time. Hospitality that runs on cast sacrifice isn't hospitality at H³, it's a floor for one actor purchased at another's expense, and that's precisely the arrangement this term forecloses.
