# Guest History

### Definition

The system of record that stores what the operation knows about a Guest -- occasions, preferences, personal milestones -- captured one visit at a time. Feeds forward into every subsequent visit, and is fed by [Table Arc], the in-visit read that generates the material [Guest History] stores.

### Explanation

The mechanism only works if it's genuinely cumulative. A single strong visit tells the cast almost nothing useful about a Guest; the same Guest's fifth visit, with [Guest History] carrying forward what the third and fourth visits surfaced, is where the relational payoff actually shows up -- the cast member greeting them by name, remembering the anniversary, knowing not to mention the allergy because it's already accounted for. Without a deliberate system capturing that information visit over visit, every visit resets to zero and the operation never accumulates the relational capital that makes Road 2 outcomes possible. [Guest History] is the ledger; [Table Arc] is the transaction that gets entered into it.
