# Bias Prosecution

### Category

F02 Product -- Formal Operator R&D Arc

**Definition**
 Working Definition:
The formal discipline the operator runs between discovery and adjudication. The operator takes his own read and runs it against his declared priors -- naming where the evidence confirms the assumption and where it contradicts it. The contradiction is the signal. The prosecution forces the operator to defend his verdict against his own bias before a decision lands. The log is the instrument. The declared evaluation criteria are the prosecutorial standard. The operator is simultaneously the witness and the cross-examiner.
 Open Questions:
Does this term sit above all five fundamentals as a cross-cutting discipline or does it anchor in Perspective as a foundational operator mindset?
Relationship to [The Read] needs formal placement -- [The Read] feeds [Bias Prosecution] as the discovery input; prosecution is the evaluation layer on top of the read
Three bias types (confirmation, Golden Rule, disruption) -- do they become children of this term or sit as standalone candidates?
 Workshop Trail:
Surfaced during Gartner whitepaper shape read session, 07.08.2026
User confirmed: "the process consultant sees the argument underneath the domain because process patterns are domain-agnostic"
Gartner finding that validates externally: top 20% performers are 11.4% less likely to rely on intuition under high uncertainty -- same mechanism, enterprise context
User self-example: developed disruption bias as overcorrection to confirmation bias -- proves the prosecution standard must be direction-agnostic, not pro-disruption or pro-confirmation
Prosecution standard locked: always operator-specific, market-specific, moment-specific. Not looking for universal answers.
