# 049 Reads the Whole Room

### The Demand

In tomorrow's pre-shift, state the one thing you want the cast to be attuned to tonight — not a task, an attunement. The table that is about to tip. The section that is running behind. The energy that is off before the shift names it. Then in the post-shift ask one question: where did we read the building correctly tonight, and where did we miss it? That question, asked on cadence, builds the shared language \[Shared Pulse\] requires. It doesn't build in one shift. It builds in the accumulation of shifts where the cast reflected on how they moved together.

### The Work

State the one thing you want the cast attuned to tonight — not a task, an attunement:
In tomorrow's pre-shift, what specifically will you say to set that attunement?
After the shift, ask the cast: where did we read the building correctly tonight?
Where did we miss it?
